Our tours can be focused on fishing, or boat charters, and can also include visits to secluded beaches, accommodation snorkelling, or sunset tours.

WHAT'S INCLUDED with Fishing Tours

FISHING EQUIPMENT & SERVICES

We provide all the gear you'll need to fish including, fishing rods, reels, tackle and safety gear. We also offer help with baiting and fish cleaning services.

We'll even make sure you get a digital photo of your catch!

AMENITIES & FACILITIES

We'll provide beverages for the trip including water, beer (one case), in a large coolers with ice. Music is available on board. Access to restrooms available.

FULL DAY EXCURSIONS

In addition to the provisions included on all our tours, our full day excursions also include lunch.

Want to water taxi out and spend the day at Tamarindo? We’ll pick your group up at 8 and ferry you over to Tamarindo where you can explore. We’ll come and take you back at 4.

PREPARING FOR YOUR TOUR

To make sure your fishing tour is the best it can possibly be, here's a few tips and reminders to help you get ready to go fishing!

What to wear

Mornings can be cool and the afternoons can be hot and the Costa Rica sun is strong! Dressing in layers is a good idea; have a long-sleeved shirt handy. Bring your sunglasses, sunscreen, and lip balm to protect yourself from the sun.

What to bring

Some things you may like to bring along to make your tour more enjoyable include: your own water bottle and any preferred snacks or beverages. Additionally, you may want to bring wet wipes/hand sanitizer, motion sickness medications and your camera/phone to capture your memories. Bring a waterproof bag to keep these and other belongings dry.

Bringing fish home

You have the option to bring extra fish home! Fish can be sealed, packed, and taken home in a cooler as checked luggage on your flight (up to 50 lbs), anywhere in the world. Ask us for more information if your are interested in bringing fish home with you after your adventure.

Information

  • Our boat captain is licensed and Fat Boy's Fishing has appropriate insurance and liability coverage.

  • Pick up from Playa Panama, Playa Hermosa, Playa Coco, Playa Ocytal, Playa Patraro, and Playa Flamingo can be arranged, but rates may vary depending on your location in the Guanacaste Province.

  • For payment, we accept cash or e-transfer.

Cancellation
Policy

  • Full Refund before 48 hours

  • No-shows will be charged in full
    (no-refunds)

  • In case of inclement weather, cancellation is at the Captain's discretion. In this case, guests will be given the option of rescheduling or a refund
